NC INSPIRE science teachers will complete their licensure requirements and at the same time earn their Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) degree online at East Carolina University (ECU).

The ECU MAT is a 39 semester hour program that leads to a North Carolina initial teaching license.

Western Carolina University is partnering with NC INSPIRE to provide the Master of Arts in Teaching (MAT) programs for Special Education.

Western Carolina's MAT program is two-phased. Phase I is a 27 semester hour Graduate Certificate program that leads to an initial (A) teacher licensure. Phase II is an additional 15 semester hour Master of Arts in Teaching degree program that leads to an advanced (M) teaching license.

UNC Charlotte is partnering with NC INSPIRE to provide the Master of Arts in Teaching programs for Middle Grades and Secondary Mathematics.

UNCC's MAT program is two-phased. Phase I is an 18 semester hour Graduate Certificate program that leads to an initial (A) teacher licensure. Phase II is 21 semester hour Master of Arts in Teaching degree program that leads to an advanced (M) teaching license.
