The Human Resources Division at UNC General Administration is committed to providing many of the training and development tools, resources, online tutorials, and workshops to support employees with their learning needs and to promote professional growth and career development. Listed below are brief descriptions and links to many of these continuous learning opportunities. 


Employee Assistance Program (EAP) 

We are happy to sponsor trainings for our employees presented by ComPsych Guidance Resources, our Employee Assistance Program (EAP) provider. The trainings include a variety of personal development topics. For additional information on available trainings click here.

UNC Chapel Hill  - Office of Human Resources 

The Organization & Professional Development unit features training opportunities as part of a focused curriculum organized into focus areas. Each group is designed to enhance essential workplace skills, knowledge, and professional development for Carolina employees by providing diverse, well-rounded programs. Courses are designed to develop and enhance essential workplace skills and increase job effectiveness, in turn, improving performance. To register for courses offered through the Office of Human Resources Organization & Professional Development unit, please follow the instructions below:

  • Visit          
  • Log in with your onyen and password.
  • Select the “Self Service” Tab in the left-hand toolbar, click on “Training Enrollment"
  • Search by course name, course number, or the date the course is being offered to find and enroll in the course of your choice. 


Leadership Enhancement and Administrative Development (LEAD)

LEAD is a leadership and management development program designed specifically to assist managers and emerging leaders at UNC General Administration. This program will assist department managers and emerging leaders in navigating the complex issues they face as members of the University leadership. Applications are no longer being accepted for LEAD GA.
