Employee Training and Professional Development Opportunities

We are committed to offering a variety of learning experiences designed to help you develop your personal potential, while effectively meeting the demands of your job and furthering the goals of UNC GA. The employee training and professional development opportunities listed below are free and available to UNC GA employees.  

Work/Life Programs:

Offered through ComPsych, our Employee Assistance Program provider, we offer several trainings that focus on communication, health, and work/life balance. For additional information on the Work/Life programs, click here.

MyApps Programs:

UNC GA Information Technology is offering training on the organizational and collaborative functionalities available through the UNC GA "MyApps" intranet, such as Smartsheets, Trillian, Socialcast, Free Conference Call, and more! For additional information on the MyApps programs, click here

UNC Chapel Hill - Office of Human Resources:  

The Organization & Professional Development unit features training opportunities as part of a focused curriculum organized into focus areas. Each group is designed to enhance essential workplace skills, knowledge, and professional development for Carolina employees by providing diverse, well-rounded programs. Courses are designed to develop and enhance essential workplace skills and increase job effectiveness, in turn, improving performance. Leadership Enhancement and Administrative Development (LEAD): 

LEAD is a leadership and management development program designed specifically to assist managers and emerging leaders at UNC General Administration. This program will assist department managers and emerging leaders in navigating the complex issues they face as members of the University leadership. Applications are not currently being accepted for LEAD GA.
