Enhance Your Technical Skills

Office of State Personnel Opportunities
The Office of State Personnel offers a myriad of courses to State employees. Course topics range from Interpersonal Skills, Computer Skills, to courses focused on Management Development. Click here to view the OSP Personnel Training and Development Policy.
Academic Assistance Program
The purpose of the academic assistance program is to assist management in workforce planning and employee development. It is a program that allows an SPA employee to take a course at an accredited community college, college, or university. The program provides reimbursement of academic costs, if funds are available, and time off the job, if the course is available only during working hours.
UNC Professional Development Portal
The UNC Professional Development Portal is designed to provide access to an increasingly broad range of professional development materials that will be of relevance to administrators, faculty and staff throughout UNC. Users can login to take advantage of the full power of the portal to search and browse, create and save custom searches, and submit materials for access by others. Resources include materials in four primary areas: teaching and learning, teaching and learning with technology, human resources, and administrative development.
